Unlike thermocouples, RTDs operate based on the predictable change in electrical resistance of certain metals—most notably platinum—with Temperature.</p><p data-start="675" data-end="994">RTDs are valued for their excellent repeatability, long-term stability, and accurate linear output over a broad Temperature range.
